FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino cancelled for 2020

News

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic the 27th edition of the FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino cannot take place this year.

Referring to a recent decision of the Italian region of Trentino, the mountain bike event in Riva del Garda unfortunately has to be cancelled in 2020. The good news: A new date for 2021 has already been fixed. From April 30th to May 2nd the starting shot for the mountain bike season 2021 will be given at Lake Garda

For the past 27 years, the FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino has been a magnet for up to 45,000 mountain bike fans from all over the world, traditionally opening the mtb season on the first weekend of May. But the Covid 19 pandemic has also thwarted the 2020 season opener in Italy. After the organisers, partners and sponsors had hoped until the very end to perform the BIKE Festival later this year, it is now clear that it will not be possible to hold the event in 2020: “Following a recent decision, the Trentino region is banning all major events with more than 1,000 visitors until mid-October. And due to the excessive requirements of the Italian authorities, we will neither be able to hold a BIKE festival of this size in the following weeks “, says Mathias Ley, managing director of the event agency Yunique.

Already booked starting tickets remain valid for the new date in 2021. Participants can send their questions by e-mail to service@yunique.de.

Furthermore there are good chances for the two Continental BIKE Festivals in Saalfelden Leogang (11-13 September 2020) and Willingen (2-4 October 2020). “As organizers, we are currently investing full energy into the realization of these events, for which you can still register,” says Monika Weber, event manager of Delius Klasing Verlag, initiator of the BIKE Festivals.
