Santini Present Four Official Jerseys
Iconic cycling brand and official partner of the Tour de France Santini have unveiled their latest leader jerseys, which will feature in the 2022 edition.
Alongside the reveal of next year’s route at the Palais des Congrés in Paris, Santini presented the winner’s jerseys for the Tour de France, while they are also chief designers for the rebirth of the Tour de France Femmes.

As with much of the manufacturing carried out by Santini at this current moment, the jerseys are designed to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.
Most notably, the front, back and rear pockets are made utilising an ultra-light printable fabric made from recycled polyester yarn. Furthermore, a double-faced, extra soft material was used for the raw cut collar to prevent chafing and guarantee comfort throughout.
They also feature subtle key details to make for a unique twist on the tractional designs, from an Arc de Triomphe-inspired silicone gripper to tone-on-tone finishing touches specific to each one, and a silicone patch embroidered with Henri Desgrange’s famous initials on the yellow jersey.
Lastly, the story of each jersey is also printed on the inside; “we did some historical research into each of the jerseys so that we could create a story as a reminder of their epic significance, not just to the pro cyclists that will wear them but also to the fans who will want to have a replica of their own,” concluded Santini’s Creative Director, Fergus Niland.
He went on to say, “The design concept behind the jerseys referenced the ‘Le maillot est le trophée!’ principle and so we wanted to emphasise the fact that the jersey itself is the prize for the winner.
“And because of our company’s history, that phrase also indicates just how proud and delighted we are about this new challenge and about being able to make these four iconic jerseys.”
And that’s not all – at the end of the last stage with the arrival in Paris, the winner of the Tour de France will have their name written on the jersey.
