VisitEngland to boost cycling tourism

Support for ongoing operations and product creation will be used and a digital marketing programme for cyclists from across Great Britain will be launched.

The Bike England website will also be enhanced so that cycling vacations in the country can be more easily adapted and booked.

The initiative concentrated on the domestic market with these constraints, with the huge increase in cycling activities since the UK first locked in March.

Cumbria Tourism and Visit Northumberland have entered this second funding round to report more developments over the next few months.

“The world has changed a lot since the start of the year and that’s why we’ve been adaptable with our Cycle England offer, switching focus to the domestic market for the immediate future to entice cyclists from other parts of the country to give our world-class roads and trails a go, when we do eventually emerge from this hugely challenging period.
