Excitement Builds as Cycling Summit 2019 Details Released

Miami to host Miami Valley Cycling Summit 2019

Bike Miami Valley is accepting proposals to host the 2019 biennial Miami Valley Cycling Summit (MVCS), an event that connects bike-minded communities and institutions around the Miami Valley. The MVCS is free for attendees and lunch is provided by the host community. Any funds raised above the event expenses are split between Bike Miami Valley’s advocacy efforts and the host community.

The event has decade long history, with it’s roots staying to it’s community and providing for their community. According to the Miami Valley Cycling Summit website;

In 2009 and 2011, the Miami Valley Cycling Summit provided an opportunity to bring all elements of the movement together in a collective fashion. In doing so, we were able to take away a more cohesive strategy with similar goals and actions, and, in turn, initiate the re-conception of a regional grassroots cycling advocacy group (Bike Miami Valley).

Its 2011 event was able to bring in over 300 enthusiastic cyclists, all representing territories across Miami and the extended United States. And the Cyclist Summit has only risen in numbers of attendees over the years, with near 400 contestants arriving the next year.

The 2017 MVCS will take place Friday, May 5 at Wright State University.
