Terms & Conditions

FIRST BIKE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST is open to professional and amateur photographers using all forms of photography.

 

Anyone over 18 years of age can enter the competition with the exception of employees of the Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine, their associated companies and employees of any company chosen to sponsor prizes for the competition.

Everyone is welcome to enter the competition whether amateur or professional, except those directly involved in the organisation and judging.

 

Judges are not permitted to enter into the competition

 

To enter, you must upload your Entry at the following website: ________________ following the on-screen instructions carefully.

 

By entering the Competition, you agree and acknowledge that the Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine is permitted to receive your registration data.

 

Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine may publish any material you submit, post, upload, email or otherwise transmit to it or to the website at its sole discretion and it shall be entitled to make additions or deletions to any such material prior to publication.

 

Any image submitted to the competition may be used by Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine, and its media partners, for marketing and promotional purposes of the competition only. You hereby grant the Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine a non-exclusive, irrevocable license in each Entry throughout the world in all media for any use in connection with the competition.

All images submitted must be the sole work and copyright of the entrant. Copyright of all images is retained by the entrant, however by entering this competition permission is granted to Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine for a non-exclusive license to reproduce the images for uses which may include reproduction on the BIKE Magazine website, marketing or promotional materials including displays, leaflets and brochures. Images will always be accredited to the photographer.

Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. If your photograph features any person or people, they should be aware that they are being photographed and permission should be obtained from all involved for their photograph to be submitted in the competition. If it is clear that the people are not aware of their picture being taken or are embarrassed in any way by any entry we receive, Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine reserves the right to disqualify the entry.

 

Winners will be published online on www.bike-mag.com

 

General conditions

 

Images may be captured using film or digital.

 

There is no limit to the number of individual images each artist may submit.

There is no time or date restriction on when the image was taken.

 

Images that have won prizes in other competitions or that have been submitted in other competitions currently underway are eligible.

 

Files must meet the following specifications:

 

– Saved as a JPEG at a setting of 10 (100%) or higher

– Only bleed photographs without borders

– No Watermarks / Copyright Units / Logos on images

Winning Entrants must be able to provide a high resolution digital file (minimum 2500px wide@300dpi).

 

All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrant must be the sole copyright owner of all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries (or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured). Further, the entrant must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.

 

Winners’ names will be published online.

Copyrights & usage rights

Copyright of the images will remain at all times with the photographer.

 

For awarded images, copyright holders grant the Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine unlimited non-exclusive use of high-resolution images for activities in all media, including social media, online and print, in relation to the contest and all promotional activities without any remuneration being due.

 

Images will be used strictly in connection to the contest and will not be used for any other marketing purposes other than to promote the Webify Media Ltd/BIKE Magazine. Images will not be resold or used by any other third party. If there is a request for such, we will forward that request to the photographer via email.

 Low-resolution pictures on our website, without any remuneration being due.

 

To promote winners of the FIRST BIKE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST is granted the right to display images on social network websites.

 

You agree to participate in related publicity and to the use of your name and images for the purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity in connection with the competition without additional compensation.

 

Any photograph used by the FIRST BIKE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST shall carry a credit line.

FIRST BIKE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST and its media partners assume no responsibility and are not liable for any image misuse by external third parties.

 

Prizes

Cash prizes will be paid in GBP by PayPal. Any fees incurred for foreign currency transfers will be deducted from the winning amount. There are no alternatives available for prize winners.

 

Judging conditions

Entries will be judged by nominated judges.

 

Images will be judged on style, story, message, art, expression.

 

The decision of the FIRST BIKE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST is final.
