There are many excellent paths for dog walking in the area, and we provide a ‘doggy bin’ so you can keep the area clean and hygienic.

We offer Bed and Breakfast in our home, Inver Park House, which has achieved a **** Bed and Breakfast award from VisitScotland ‘in recognition of an excellent standard of facilities and services’.
Inver Park House is situated within Inver Caravan Park and is adjacent to the A9 just north of Dunbeath, Caithness. It is 84 miles north of Inverness, up the A9, and 4 miles south of the junction of the A9 (to Thurso) and the A99 (to Wick). It is 38 miles south of John o’ Groats. It is therefore a good location from which to explore the far north, or make a stop-over on a touring holiday or a long-distance walk or cycle run.
From the South, ignore both turnings SP Dunbeath and stay on the A9 until the road SP Houstry 3. Turn left into this road, and immediately left into the Park entrance, 40 metres up the Houstry road.
From the North, pass the Laidhay Croft Museum and continue down the hill towards Dunbeath. Take the turning to the right SP Houstry 3 and then immediately left into the Park entrance.
Once in the Caravan Park, follow the road round between the house and the white Facilities Block, indicated by the sign ‘B&B Parking’, and park in the designated parking area beside the front door. If you are coming on foot or cycle, enter by the pedestrian gate straight from the A9 and come to the front door which is on your right up a gentle ramp. Cycles can be left safely to the left of the porch.
Inver Caravan Park is a small, friendly STB**** Touring Park, which is listed with the Camping and Caravan Club, and is open all year. It is adjacent to the A9 just north of Dunbeath, Caithness, Scotland.
We welcome all caravans and trailer tents, motorhomes of any size (even ones you have made yourself), tents, cars, vans, motorbikes, walkers and cyclists, children and dogs – in fact everyone!
We are licensed for 15 pitches, and have 10 hard standings and plenty of smooth grass for tents and for caravanners who prefer to park on grass. We have some surrounding trees for shelter, 14 electric hook-ups, mains water, recycling facilities and a dump station for disposal of grey water and chemical toilet disposal. The roads in the caravan park are tarred and gritted, and therefore not muddy, whatever the weather or season.
In spring 2011 we completed a major extension and upgrading of our Facilities Block, which now has double glazing, lots of insulation, underfloor heating throughout, and the whole building is tiled from floor to ceiling. We have 3 private unisex shower rooms with excellent power showers and automatic hand driers. One is very suitable for disabled visitors. In 2017 the showers were further upgraded with new wetwall and new shower trays. There is a hair drier and shaver points in the hall of the shower area. There is also a separate WC.
In our separate kitchen/ laundry area we have a washing machine, a sink for hand washing clothes and an iron and ironing table. We do not have a tumble drier, preferring to encourage people to dry clothes on the washing line to make use of the plentiful wind! However, we also have pulleys in our boiler room where clothes are guaranteed to dry overnight when this is necessary. For dish washing we have a double sink and drainer and plenty of work surface to put dishes on.
We also have FREE WIFI for those who cannot be off-line for long – browse the internet or catch up on your emails from the comfort of your motor home or caravan! The key is on a notice in the kitchen area.
