A deep back-catalog of videos that defy understanding is available to Scottish mountain bike/trials rider Danny MacAskill. He has shown ballet mastery of bike handling, white-knuckled audacity, a whimsical touch and a sense of joy throughout the years.
His latest, set on the imposing Dubh Slabs on the Isle of Skye, is not of high concept or even high production value in particular. It only features MacAskill piloting his mountain bike down a huge bloody cliff, followed by an expertly piloted drone, with Arcade Fire rousingly soundtracking the whole lot.
Six minutes of your time is well worth it (unless you’re afraid of heights, in which case, click on).
