The HERO Südtirol Dolomites may be the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world – but it’s a lot more than that. The HERO Dolomites Bike Festival (16-19 June 2022) is a celebration of all things off-road cycling. Four days packed with the typical HERO energy and style surrounded by the stunning Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The go-to event of the year for professional cyclists, amateurs, and whoever loves sports. An event where genuine sportsmanship takes centre stage, set against the backdrop of breathtaking, natural beauty.
The HERO Südtirol Dolomites is the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world. This amazing event will take place on Saturday, 18 June 2022. Selva di Val Gardena will reprise its role as the race’s starting point and boast two courses: the first featuring 86 km and 4,500 hm, and the second featuring 60 km and 3,200 hm. The routes develop at the foot of one of the most valuable treasures in the province: the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Thousands of cyclists are expected to arrive from all over the world, together with countless mountain bike aficionados, evidence of the ever-growing interest people have in this outdoor discipline. In occasion of the race, the HERO Dolomites Bike Festival will take place between 16 and 19 June 2022
This four-day event is a celebration of all things HERO and off-road cycling. The Village will feature go-to mountain biking brands, out-of-this-world experiences, unmissable events – all developed to ensure that all participants, by-standers, and cycling fans can celebrate their passion in every possible way!
Things kick off on Thursday, 16 June 2022 when participants can test out the HERO Trails: book your excursion for an expert mountain bike guide with Selva Active and explore the break-it-or-make-it locations on the course to prepare for Saturday’s race. This type of guided excursion will continue throughout summer across the Sella Group for all tourists and cycling enthusiasts.
The Women’s Lounge will also be making a return, the exclusive area for our participants racing in the women’s category. Save the date because the HERO Charity Night will be back Thursday night with plenty of fun, entertainment, and great, exciting news!
Friday, 17 June 2022: the HERO Dolomites KIDS for the rising stars of mountain biking
An unmissable event for all younger cyclists, the 2022 HERO Dolomites KIDS is the non-competitive event taking place on Friday, 17 June 2022 at 3 pm. The event is for everyone between the ages of 4 and 12, allowing these young, rising stars to test their mountain biking skills on a track in Selva di Val Gardena. Every participant will receive a welcome pack with a branded HERO Alé jersey.
Last but not least, the HERO Great Finale! Award Ceremony will take place on the evening of Saturday, 18 June 2022.
The final event will take place on Sunday, 19 June: the ZERO Dolomites is a day dedicated to green and sustainable mobility. A great event which contributes to protecting nature, specifically the Dolomites, which are the stage of this unique event
