Continental Tyres Power World Champions Across Four Cycling Disciplines

News

Continental is celebrating a historic achievement in elite cycling, with its high-performance tyres helping athletes secure rainbow jerseys across four major disciplines: Downhill, Road, Time Trial, and Gravel.

In a standout year for the German tyre manufacturer, Vali Höll clinched another Downhill World Championship, while Tadej Pogačar dominated the Road World Championships. Just last week, Florian Vermeersch triumphed at the UCI Gravel World Championships, all riding on Continental tyres.

The success didn’t stop there. Marlen Reusser claimed the Women’s Elite Individual Time Trial title, and rising stars Célia Gery and Paula Ostiz took top honours in the Women’s U23 and Women’s Junior Road Championships, respectively — all on Continental rubber.

“Races like the Gravel World Championships are the ultimate test of performance, durability, and technology,” said Alex Haenke, Continental Product Manager. “These results highlight not only the strength and dedication of our athletes but also the relentless innovation behind our tyres that helps them perform at their peak.”

Continental’s dominance across such varied terrain and formats is a testament to its engineering excellence and commitment to innovation. From the BlackChili compound powering WorldTour victories to the Kryptotal and Argotal lines redefining mountain bike traction, every Continental tyre shares the same DNA: performance that wins races.

With multiple world titles secured in 2025, Continental has proven its tyres deliver all-terrain performance at the highest level of the sport — reinforcing its position as a trusted partner for champions.
