Another amazing Škoda 24 Hours Cycling event

The Škoda 24 Hours Cycling event, which combines sport, passion and conviviality, will be back on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans on 26 and 27 August.

Last January, all the bibs were sold out in just 30 minutes, and in the end 3,012 riders of 15 nationalities will be lining up at the start on Saturday at 3pm.

Every year, the Sarthoise cyclosportive attracts a wide range of participants, from ultra to leisure cyclists. Depending on the category you pick, solo or in a team of 2 to 8 riders, you can choose a challenge to suit your level of fitness and ambitions.

For this 14th edition, the start will be given by Nicolas Edet, a pro cyclist since 2011, first with Cofidis and then with Arkéa-Samsic. The Sarthois rider has eight Tour de France, three Tour of Spain and two Giro d’Italia races under his belt. He won the best climber jersey at the Tour of Spain in 2013 and wore the red jersey for one day during the 2019 Tour of Spain.

For the overall victory and with the Dutch title holder (Scorpion Racing Team) missing, Team S1neo, three-time winner in 2015, 2016 and 2017, could well use its experience to make the most of its position. Brice Feillu, pro rider from 2009 to 2019, will be targeting the top 10 with his team of 6 friends.
Among the 25 100% women’s crews, the Macif team with champions Séverine Guérif and Nathalie Mauclair could stand out from the crowd.

Entry is free for visitors. New for 2023: the car park will be accessible from the Avenue du Panorama (“Parking Rouge”) and pedestrian access will be via the Panorama entrance (see map). The village will offer plenty of entertainment for young and old alike: duels on connected bikes, introductions to eco-responsible transport, rillette tastings, children’s games, artistic performances, etc.

The family morning event, La Matinale Le Maine Libre – La Sarthe, will open the festivities on Saturday from 10.30am to 11.30am. More than 1,500 cyclotourists are expected to enjoy the exceptional surface of the Bugatti circuit. Helmets must be worn at all times, and the speed limit is 30km/h.
