After the BIKE Festivals in Riva del Garda and Willingen had to take a break in 2020, preparations are now underway for the events in spring 2021. The 27th FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino will take place from April 30 to May 2. The 23rd edition of the Continental BIKE Festival Willingen invites you to the Sauerland region from May 28 to 30. Registrations for the BIKE Marathon as well as the Junior Trophy are now open. The cancellation conditions have been modified, so participants can register without risk despite the current Covid-19 situation
Anyone who registers for one of the races at the two BIKE Festivals can easily cancel their entry free of charge up to four weeks before the event. If a participant falls ill with Covid-19 or is in quarantine, he will get his entry fee back at any time. A free transfer to another participant is also possible any time. If the event is cancelled, you can either claim your money back or transfer your entry to a later date. The cancellation conditions are explained in detail on the BIKE Festival website. For further questions, the BIKE Festival team is available at email@example.com.
“We are in constant exchange with the respective authorities and have already developed detailed safety concepts, which we always adapt to the current state of the pandemic,” says Linda Schroeder, head of the event department at the organizer Delius Klasing. “That’s why we are optimistic that the marathon events can take place in 2021.”
The FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino has been a magnet for mountain bike fans from all over the world for 27 years and traditionally opens the MTB season on the first weekend of May. The sportive highlight with an international ambitious field of participants is the BIKE Marathon (May 1), getting a new face in 2021. Riders can choose between the Ronda Extrema (82.77 kilometres, 3,484 metres of altitude), the Ronda Grande (59.56 kilometres, 2,406 metres of altitude) and the Ronda Piccola (30.67 kilometres, 1,065 metres of altitude).
In 2021, the BIKE Marathon (May 29) at the Continental BIKE Festival Willingen will take participants on three attractive routes across the Upland region. Mountain bikers can look forward to great trails, challenging climbs and descents around Willingen. There is a choice of the long course with 119 kilometres and 3,333 metres of altitude, the medium course (88 kilometres, 2,463 metres of altitude) and the short beginner’s course (53 kilometres, 1,463 metres of altitude).
The Junior Trophy – on May 2 in Riva and on May 30 in Willingen – has also become an integral part of the BIKE Festivals’ sportive program. At this event, the youngsters between three and 14 years can speed up and be cheered on like the grown-ups. Registration for the youngest mountain bikers has also started.
