80% Of Exhibition Space Snapped Up Six Months Before 2022 IBF

With six months to go to the Italian Bike Festival, the organisers have given the first update on the events and exhibitor numbers expected at the event’s new Misano World Circuit venue between September 9th and 11th. A massive 80% of the exhibition space made available at Misano for the 5th edition of this cornerstone bike fair has already been snapped up.

Francesco Ferrario of IBF said, “The exhibitor numbers look set to grow too as a result of the festival’s main themes of cycling tourism and urban mobility”

The IBF is also partnering with and being supported by APT Servizi Emilia Romagna and Visit Romagna.

Although it is not entirely sold out, it’s won’t be long now. The 2022 edition of the IBF (Italian Bike Festival) promises a plethora of great news and initiatives that are clearly attracting sector businesses.

After the announcement that it was changing the venue to the larger 50,000 square metre exhibition space at the Misano World Circuit, the IBF is now gearing up to lay on three days of intense activity and high-profile exhibitors during this unmissable sector event. With just over six months to the 2022 edition, the IBF will be bringing together the bike world in all its guises at Misano between September 9th and 11th: from top-flight competitions to city bikes. The updated list of brands coming to the Italian fair is already online here, while a digital map of the exhibition area and layout of the brand’s stands can also be viewed online.

With over 250 brands confirmed as of mid-February, the IBF looks set to be a huge draw with a huge choice of new things to do and see. “We are very satisfied with how this fifth edition is shaping up” commented Francesco Ferrario, sales director Italian Bike Festival “Even though there are still six months to the 2022 edition, we have options on more than 80% of the available exhibition space and that is a major sign of just how vibrant the sector is”

These significant figures underscore the crucial role the IBF continues to play in the Italian and European bike industry. The new Misano World Circuit venue will help consolidate its touchstone position, “We found spaces and facilities at Misano that are perfect for a festival that is growing year on year – Ferrario was keen to stress – as attested to by the increase in exhibitor numbers which are up 35% on last year’s edition.” In the light of these figures, the IBF has reiterated its goal of attracting 400 brands from the sector.

The Misano World Circuit facility is an ideal event venue not just because of its 4-kilometre-plus International Racing Track which will be used for bike testing, but also because of its large indoor areas. Of its 80,000 square metres, 50,000 are given over to exhibition space with the reminder for testing areas and hosting side events.

The IBF has much more in store than great exhibitors, however. There are also road events, mountain biking and competitions for juvenile categories: an incredibly packed and original programme due to be revealed in the coming days.

Tests, competitions and stands brimming with products with inextricable links to the bike world are just the start of the IBF 2022 story because bicycle touring has also found the perfect showcase there for the very best and most attractive routes, itineraries and destinations for cycling lovers. “The bike tourism sector is booming – confirmed Ferrario – and the IBF has attracted a whole host of destinations planning to add this type of tourism to their offering as it is ideal for people that like the outdoors and keeping active.”

Urban mobility will also feature strongly too with more than 20% of the exhibition space dedicated to this specific area: “The comeback of the bike as a means of city transport is there for all to see” concludes Ferrario, “In response to that demand, we are working on an edition that devotes a significant amount of space to urban mobility and involving players and case studies.” The IBF will also be hosting discussions about the present and future of bike mobility with seminars and technical round tables for sector operators from umbrella areas such bike touring, urban mobility, safe cycling and other subjects yet to be confirmed.

Every aspect of the bike industry will be represented at the 5th Italian Bike Festival and its 30,000 visitors will most definitely have a packed programme of events and fun to look forward to!
