The Italian Bike Festival, which takes place from September 9th to 11th next at the Misano World Circuit, won’t just be about exhibitors and product launches! With less than six months to go, the Italian bike show presents La Gialla Cycling, a busy schedule spanning both a road and an MTB Granfondo and races from the circuits dedicated to Italy’s young rising stars. Starting from the Misano World Circuit, participants will get to explore the heart of the Romagnola countryside and its stunning nature.

Entries open now!

The IBF is more than just a bike fair, it now also offers the packed and excitingly-named La Gialla Cycling programme of side events. The next edition of the Italian Bike Festival at the Misano Circuit between September 9th and 11th really will deliver a menu of cycling events that no Italian amateur or promising young rider will be able to resist.

Under the La Gialla Cycling umbrella, racing enthusiasts will find a huge array of opportunities to test themselves and also discover the Romagnola heartland on their bikes. Two granfondos, one for road bikes and one for MTBs, a short race, and a team relay are just some of the highlights to look forward to. And all of the events will be linked by the voice of La Gialla Cycling, Mr. Giallo.

The La Gialla Cycling family spans a slew of events and initiatives that really do offer something for all levels, ages, and competition categories, but the high points are definitely the two granfondos, both of which take place on Sunday, September 11th. The

action starts from the Misano temple of speed with the La Gialla Granfondo Strada, a 100km dash between Romagna and the Marche through the spectacularly beautiful Valle del Conca. Its offroad sister event, La Gialla Granfondo MTB, will also wind its way through the Valle del Conca, taking competitors all the way to Castello di Cerreto on a 62km route. The Granfondo MTB is part of the 2022 Caveja Bike Cup and the Italian 6 Races national circuits. The Granfondo Strada is part of the Nalini Road Series and also twinned with La Granfondo Squali.

“Thanks to its location and the time of year, the Italian Bike Festival really has everything it needs to be much more than just an exhibition event and to actually become a fixed date that will attract an increasingly large public” commented Fabrizio Ravasio of Taking Off, which organises the IBF, “It is also the backdrop for La Gialla Cycling: a race programme that will only enhance the value of the entire event thus becoming a winning content also for sports tourism.”

Completing the La Gialla Cycling offering are the Short Race and the Team Relay which take place on a specially designed track in the Misano World Circuit’s Off-Road Arena. Young cyclists will have a Tipo Pista (Track Type) and the Junior Trophy to look forward to on the 900m international track.

Entries for both Granfondos are officially open now, and bibs can be booked through the site.

All of the La Gialla Cycling competitions are under the aegis of ACSI Ciclismo and are being organised with the support of the Eurobike Riccione, Frecce Rosse Cycling Team, Pedale Riminese and the Granfondo Squali Team as well as the Fondazione Misano and the Misano World Circuit.
