Red Bull Hardline 2025: The World’s Toughest Downhill Race Returns to Wales
Date: July 26–27, 2025
Location: Dyfi Valley, Wales
Streaming: Live on Red Bull TV
A World-Class Lineup Is Set
Red Bull Hardline is back, and it’s bigger and bolder than ever. This year’s event boasts a 32-rider elite roster featuring global MTB icons and rising stars, ready to tackle what’s widely regarded as the world’s hardest downhill mountain bike course.
Racing legend Gee Atherton and freeride phenom Matt Jones return to take on defending champion Rónán Dunne (IRE). On the women’s side, Tahnee Seagrave, Gracey Hemstreet, and Hannah Bergemann are confirmed, marking another significant year for female representation on one of the most punishing tracks in the sport.
Not Just a Race—A Test of Nerve
Designed by MTB trail mastermind Dan Atherton, the Dyfi Valley course is famous for its massive gaps, near-vertical rock drops, and ultra-technical features. Riders face not only the terrain but the unpredictable Welsh weather, making every descent a spectacle of skill, speed, and survival.
“Red Bull Hardline is the biggest and best event we have,” said Gee Atherton. “It’s such a good test of skill for us riders on one of the trickiest courses in the world.”
“I know this course is going to really push me to the limits,” added Tahnee Seagrave. “But I’m up for the challenge.”
