We all yearn for better and calmer times, and to be able to shape our future. Our dreams and goals have grown in ambition, too – be they personal or professional. And the same applies to sports. Now more than ever, sports can be the catalyst for change, and help us feel like a hero.

The dates for the 2022 HERO Series have been officially confirmed. The international mountain bike marathon circuit was developed on the success of one of the most awaited for events in the MTB landscape. We’re talking of the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world. The HERO Südtirol Dolomites will take place on 18 June 2022, the HERO Dubai Hatta on 5 November 2022, and the HERO Thailand on 12 November 2022.

Gerhard Vanzi: “These are still uncertain times. However, we’re facing the next months with optimism and grit. How could we not be optimistic? We owe it to all the athletes who have been at our side since the start as well as to the entire team in charge of organising the event. “Our” athletes aren’t mere participants – they’re a fundamental part of an ambitious and demanding project. Without them, the event could never have dreamt of achieving the success it has with every successive edition. We’re all part of the same, big community, coming together to celebrate one big passion.”

Registrations open on Tuesday, 15 February 2022 – head to the circuit’s official website at www.heroworldseries.com and sign up to one or all three races.

Gerhard Vanzi adds, “We’ll do our utmost to ensure all races take place while also protecting every participant, athlete, and whoever accompanies them, as we did last year. Their health and safety will always be our number one priority.”

Lush, green Thailand will be the final stage of the 2022 HERO Series. Chiang Rai is a beloved tourist destination for its White Temple in Wat Rong Khun and for the exotic atmosphere which welcomes everyone upon arrival. Just like the Series’ other stages, the HERO Thailand boasts two routes: a 65 km one with 1,200 hm, and a 30 km one with a 600 hm.

THE 2022 HERO SERIES JERSEYS

Every HERO needs their own armour and livery upon entering battle – and our HEROes are lucky enough to get one. Designed by Manuel Bottazzo, a household name when it comes to cycling, these iconic jerseys will return for the 2022 edition. Each stage will have its own design, produced by the Italian brand Alé, based in Verona. The jersey’s minimal yet elegant and impactful design will be sure to enchant everyone. Three total black options with bright colours for every stage: a fiery red for the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, a powerful yellow for the HERO Dubai Hatta’s desert, and verdant green for the HERO Thailand. Stand out from the crowd and wear the colours of a true HERO!
